General Information
Gun Lake 
Gun Lake is a 219-acre lake located between Fountain and Freesoil. Most of the shoreline is built up with private homes and cottages, but there is public access and a park on the south shore.
Boat Launch
Boat Launch- 
paved ramp with a gravel drive-around circle, parking for many vehicles with trailers, dock
Fishing
Fishing- reputed to have large bluegill, black crappie, bluegill, hybrid striped bass, largemouth bass, northern pike, rock bass, sunfish, walleye, yellow perch (list from lake-link.com)
Picnicking
Picnicking- Gun Lake Park is just east of the boat launching area. There are no picnic tables or grills, but the shaded, grassy lawn is an inviting place to bring a blanket and cooler.
Swimming
Swimming- There is a shallow area with a sandy bottom at the Park, and a shallow area with more gravel in the sand at the boat launching area. Swimming is allowed at either, but the Park seems both safer and more pleasant.
Handicap Accessibility
Handicap Accessibility- the latrine at the boat launch is large enough, but has a 1" barrier at the door.
Rest Rooms and Potable Water
Rest Rooms- old latrines at the Park- useable, but not great. New latrine at the boat launch
Potable Water- none
Details
Access- gravel drive and parking off paved Townline Road
Restrictions- no camping, no open fires, dogs must be leashed, clean up after dogs, no high-speed boating or water skiing between 6:30pm and 10am, no diving off dock
Seasonality- may not be not plowed in winter
Ecosystem- small inland lake with island in center, park is maintained grass with large oaks and maples
