at Hesperia Dam
General Information
Hesperia Dam Park 
This park is located on the north side of town where Division St crosses the river at the dam. It is associated with the village sports park ball fields. Portions of the park are on both sides of the river. The dam can be crossed on foot.
Picnicking
Picnicking- There is a picnic table by the swimming pond, and additional tables in the small pavilion on the south side of the river. There is also one picnic table on the east side of the road along the short trail.
Hiking
Hiking- 
There is a short pathway on the east side of Division St. which leads out on a spit of land into Hesperia Pond. It crosses a low area on a boardwalk which may be under water at certain times of the year.
There is a loop walkway on the south side of the river from the dam down along the river with benches and river access. One side of the loop has steps the other side is ramped.
Fishing
Fishing- Fishing from the dam, and below the dam, is popular.
Swimming
Swimming- 
Swim at your own risk in this pond with a raft.
Wildlife Watching
Wildlife Watching- The marshy area along the trail on the east side of the road is a good place to see birds. Kingfisher, killdeer, ducks, and more.
Handicap Accessibility
Handicap Accessibility-
The walkways and the picnic area on the south side of the dam are accessible. The picnic table by the swimming hole is wheelchair compatible but access is over dirt and grass.

Rest Rooms- There are vault toilets by the sports complex entrance.

Access- Dirt parking directly off Division St on both the north and south sides of the river.
Restrictions- No camping, no open fires, no overnight parking. Park is open 6am- 11pm. Swim at your own risk
Seasonality- Open year round
Ecosystem- Other points of interest- Weaver Park is at the east edge of town, and Vida Weaver Park on the west edge with Webster Park in the center of town.
